Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Hong Kong
Job Type: 1-Year Renewable Contract

Salary: HKD 50,000/month
Responsibilities:
- Take the lead in maintaining and optimizing our server infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance for critical applications and services.
- Oversee data center operations, from daily management to long-term strategies for scalability and security.
- Manage and troubleshoot virtualized environments and storage systems, ensuring they are properly configured and supported.
- Work with both Linux and Windows operating systems, ensuring they are stable and secure.
- Design, implement, and monitor system solutions using tools like Zabbix and Grafana, keeping an eye on system health and metrics.
- Support cross-departmental initiatives, working closely with other teams to deliver technical solutions that align with business needs.
Requirements:

Technical Expertise:
- At least 6-10 years of experience in system administration, infrastructure management, or a related field.
- In-depth experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Nutanix, Proxmox) and concepts.
- Hands-on knowledge of server hardware configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization.
- Strong background in data center operations, from physical hardware to power, cooling, and cabling management.
- Expertise in system monitoring and performance tracking, utilizing tools such as Zabbix and Grafana.
- Good understanding of networking fundamentals (routing, switching, firewalls).

Continuous Improvement & Learning:
- Strong ability to learn and adapt quickly to new technologies and tools.
- Comfortable with an open-source mindset and utilizing tools and frameworks within open-source ecosystems.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (IAC) frameworks like Terraform and Ansible.
- Understanding of cloud environments (Azure, Aliyun) and hybrid-cloud management.
- Previous experience with storage systems such as SAN, ZFS, TrueNAS, or HCI (Hyper-Converged Infrastructure).
- Experience with ITSM platforms (ServiceNow) for tracking incidents, changes, and requests.
