We are currently seeking a suitably qualified person to fill a vacancy as Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (B2), based in Malaysia.
Key Performance Areas:
- Maintain, repair, overhaul or modify aircraft / engines / components in accordance with Aircraft / Engine / Component maintenance manuals.
- Updating and maintaining of aircraft documentation and maintenance programs.
- Acting and performing the functions of inspector in respect of any aircraft maintenance project.
- Acting and performing the functions of release to service and issuing of certificate of airworthiness.
- Effective liaison with OEM for any repair scheme or any technical issues found during aircraft maintenance event.
- In charge of a group of aircraft / engine / components and supporting personnel appointed to the relevant tasks.
- Act as inspectors as nominated by Senior LAME or Maintenance Manager.
- Act as Senior LAME's first alternate to chief inspector during the absence of chief inspector.
- Appoints aircraft maintenance engineers/technicians to carry out maintenance task/inspector functions.
- Control and provide guidance to fellow junior staff.
- Update maintenance tasks carried out on the ERP system.
- Assisting with the quoting process, whenever requested.
- Meeting delivery target dates.
- Proactive communication with maintenance planning department to manage client’s return-to-service expectations
- Participate in the upfront planning of an aircraft maintenance project, if appointed as Team Lead.
- Ensure continuous communication with maintenance planning department – Project Coordinator or Maintenance Planner appointed to the same project to manage client’s expectations.
- Assess capability of team members and delegate tasks to ensure maximum efficiency is achieved.
- Effective planning to ensure all required skills, tooling and spares are available before project commencement date.
- Provide feedback to Maintenance Manager / General Manager Maintenance on team members’ individual performance.
- Managing overtime requirements of team members involved in aircraft maintenance project.
- Meeting delivery target dates.
- Ensure manhours quoted to clients are not exceeded.
- Provide feedback to General Manager Maintenance and participate in project postmortem meeting with Maintenance Planning to identify key issues for future improvements.
- Control of tools and equipment used during an aircraft maintenance project, including personal tools.
- Control of aircraft special tools, equipment, parts and consumables upon issuance out from Stores.
- Ensure parts with core return requirement are returned to Store as soon as possible.
- Act as inspector when receiving parts/tools/equipment/consumables and review suitability for use before used on any aircraft maintenance tasks.
- Ensure contractors/sub-contractors carry out their tasks in accordance with instructions from the incumbent LAME and relevant aircraft maintenance documents.
- Review quality of work carried out by contractors/sub-contractors.
- Liaison with contractors/sub-contractors appointed for work carried out on any aircraft maintenance projects controlled by incumbent LAME
