DescriptionJob Summary:
Under moderate supervision, the Quality Engineer 2 ensures that all customer quality issues are quickly resolved, and they are satisfied with the level of service expected by DENSO. Acts as a window person between the customer and DESNO for mass production issues, new model launches, and design change management.

Major Responsibilities:
- Responsible for maintaining good relations with customers/suppliers/manufacturing including good communications and transfer of information.
- Maintain routine customer/supplier visits as needed.
- Perform internal quality audits (i.e. IATF 16949, ISO 9001, Process State, PSO).
- Provides assistance for associates in areas of quality improvement, (i.e. SPC, measuring problem solving, etc.)
- Provides support for new product, new/revised drawings, design changes, manufacturing and quality exceptions such as deviations.
- Prepares data for ISIR / ISLR reports.
- Prepares customer documentation for new/changed products including but not limited to PPAP, PSO and Run-at-Rate documentation, etc.
- Responsible for the investigation of OEM defects and field warranty claims.
- Effectively leads CFT for implementation of countermeasure.
- Completes and communicates necessary reports.
- Know and understand quality policies and procedures, and customer engineering standards.
- Should have training for problem solving (including 5WHY) and PFMEA.
Minor Responsibilities:
- Responsible for participation and the promotion of company activities such as IATF16949, ISO9001, ISO14001 and Employee Involvement, etc.
- Requires effective communication and involvement with team members, internal departments and related outside resources in both written and oral formats.
- Know, understand and comply with policies and procedures and be able to administer them fairly and consistently.
- May require shift work & overtime to support area of responsibility as needed.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and perform duties with minimal supervision.
- May assist in orienting and training lower-level employees.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
- Maintain 5’s standards.
- May require travel to Japan
- Duties and task are frequently non-routine. Resolves most questions and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher levels.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
- 2-5+ years of relevant experience

Annual Salary: $71,000 - $88,000
