MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
About Bolder Industries
At Bolder Industries we are purpose-driven, we are committed, and we are making a meaningful contribution to the circular economy. By joining our high-performing team you will create something new, you will encounter exciting challenges, and you will personally have a hand in positively impacting our natural environment.
Since 2011, our team has pioneered circular solutions for rubber, plastics, and petrochemical supply chains by converting end-of-life tires into sustainable carbon black (BolderBlack®), petrochemicals (BolderOilTM), steel (BolderSteelTM), and power. We have developed a proprietary process that drastically cuts CO2 emissions and the use of water and energy while repurposing 98% of every scrap tire.
Bolder Industries Maryville is our charter facility where we mechanically shred waste tires and process the tire chips in a high heat environment that thermally decomposes millions of tires a year into sustainable raw materials that are reused in thousands of products including new tires, conveyor belts, paint, construction materials, and much more. The team at Maryville is responsible for running the equipment, maintaining the machinery, managing delicate processes, and ensuring quality product output to meet customer expectations.
Job Overview: Maintenance Technician
Bolder Industries Maryville is seeking a highly motivated and capable Maintenance Technician to join our growing team at our advanced manufacturing facility. Maintenance works through all areas of the facility including the tire shredding line, the pyrolysis units, oil condensing systems, and the product finishing system. Pyrolysis is the central function of our facility where waste tire chips are processed to extract the raw materials such as carbon black, gas, light oil, and heavy oil.
Under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing ongoing facility maintenance and completing repairs on equipment. This includes such tasks as fixing machinery, plumbing, wiring, emergency repairs, and scheduled major repairs with all departments. All work will be done in compliance with ISO 9001, EPA, Hazmat, and OSHA safety rules and regulations. This is a physically demanding job that may require lifting, squatting, bending and at times exposure to different climates.
