A Mechanical Technician 2 is primarily responsible for assisting other Mechanical Techs and other trades as assigned. 1 – 3 years MHE or related field experience required for this position.

Safety First Attitude
Advanced knowledge of Safe work practices and knowing when to stop work.
Understand and manage Lockout/Tagout operations.
Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings.
Ability to read and use reference manuals.
Have basic problem-solving skills.
Basic knowledge of conveyor vocabulary
Ability to operate lift equipment.
Possess a current lift equipment training certificate.
Troubleshoot conveyor with assistance of Tech 3 or higher.
Knowledge to safely use power tools.
Ability to safely rigg and move equipment.
Ability to safely Lockout/Tagout equipment.
Competent with multiple conveyor types and manufacturers.
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with customer(s).
Ability to create a Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), Pre-Task Safety Analysis (PTSA).
Ability to lead a small crew of 1-2 Techs.
Knowledge of basic belt tracking
Comprehensive knowledge of conveyor operation and maintenance.
Ability to mentor and teach Tech 1.
Ability to provide a detailed trip report in a timely manner.
Ability to provide an accurate and detailed parts list related to a customer visit.
