Responsibilities

The role requires driving to various locations, so the employee must have a reliable vehicle to make their rounds. Travel time may occupy a significant part of their day.

Visit frequency to each location varies by season and machine usage ranging from twice a week to twice a month.

Key duties include:

• Restocking machines with coins

• Collecting cash from units that accept it

• Recording meter readings and submitting online revenue reports

• Ordering coins

• Performing repairs as needed and ordering parts

• Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers

Additionally, this role will also provide cross-product service support (mobility and locker) to other venues in San Diego County when needed and not occupied with souvenir coin machine servicing.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on technician with strong troubleshooting skills, a customer service mindset, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.

• Install, configure, maintain, and repair technical equipment including POS systems, photo kiosks, printers, monitors, and networked devices.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance across assigned retail locations.
• Respond promptly to service calls and troubleshoot issues on-site or remotely to minimize operational disruptions.
• Collaborate with retail staff and supervisors to resolve equipment issues and improve reliability.
• Maintain service logs, inventory of spare parts, and accurate documentation of completed work.
• Ensure all equipment is safe, clean, functional, and compliant with company standards.
• Coordinate with IT, vendors, or third-party support when escalations or specialized repairs are needed.
• Assist with system upgrades, relocations, and the setup of new retail installations.
• Train end users on proper use and basic troubleshooting of equipment.
• Support special events, seasonal activations, or equipment setup for new product launches as required.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of experience in technical support, field service, or maintenance, preferably in a retail or entertainment environment.
• Basic knowledge of electronics, computers, and networking principles.
• Ability to diagnose and repair hardware and software issues with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between sites as needed.
